Non-residents in Colombia may qualify for VAT exemption under Decree 297 of 2016 by presenting a physical passport with a valid PT (Entry and Stay Permit) stamp or a valid temporary visa with a tourism (V) stamp. Without this, the exemption cannot be applied. Colombian nationals residing abroad who enter via Biometrics must request the entry stamp in their passport in order to qualify for the VAT exemption. Guests are required to show a photo identification and the same credit card used at the time of booking as a guarantee upon check-in. Please be aware that the Cauca Viejo subdivision charges a vehicle entry fee of $30.000 COP per vehicle. This fee must be paid once at the subdivision gate upon entry.
